Doggy Daycare is a great place to socialize your pup in a supervised social setting but NOT all dogs are a great fit for Doggy Daycare. It is important your pup loves to be with a group of dogs. Just like humans some dogs love to have a lot of friends and others love the quiet retreat of being home, walks and maybe 1 or 2 friends to play with. We as pet parents and doggy daycare attendants need to establish what is best for your dogs individual needs.
We do require all pups to be spayed or neutered by 7 months.
We encourage proper manners at daycare. This includes listening and following staff commands - "sit", "stay", and "come" when called. Obsessive barking can be disruptive to the group and cause anxiety for everyone. We use the command "quiet" and will also follow up with leash time or quiet time in a small area if needed. If barking continues we will reach out to pet parents to remove the dog. Obsessive mounting can also be a key factor in a dog being removed from the group. Our goal is a safe and loving environment for all.
Each and every dog is different. If pet parents work 5 days a week they will typically send their pup 4 to 5 days, this allows pet parents to work while their pup is active and tired when they go home. If you are looking to socialize your pup, 2-3 days a week will meet their needs.
A puppy 10 weeks to 16 weeks can benefit from 2 to 3 days a week pending on there activity level and giving 1 day of rest in between.
If your dog is an older or quiet pup 1-2 days a week to keep up socialization is recommended.
What manners are expected at Doggy Daycare?
Everything Pets looks for proper manners from the dogs attending doggy daycare. This is so important to a well run playgroup/ doggy daycare.
Important commands we look for...
Coming when called, sitting upon request, staying when asked and when playing with other dogs we look for proper play etiquette.
Unacceptable behavior examples would be..
-biting at other dogs legs
-growling or over correcting other dogs
- controlling other dogs play
-running fast and crashing into other dogs
-mounting dogs
Doggy daycare is a great way for dogs to socialize and have fun, but play patterns are important and manners are essential.
Dogs are required to be social and enjoy a group setting of other dogs . We are NOT a kennel and do not have individual runs. All dogs are crated at night for safety and are fed in individual crates While boarding, dogs attend Doggy Daycare 10 AM to -2 PM (Monday - Friday). On weekends, outside playtime is based on weather (heat/cold ) and this will determine the amount of time and amount of intervals spent playing or relaxing outside.
When your pup boards, we ask pet parents to pack dog food, labeled with the dogs name and amount to feed AM/PM & label dogs leash clearly in large letters . No toys, beds, or bowls are accepted. Dogs are required to be up to date on their vaccinations.
Please check with management for check in and check out times.
